Patchwork Day
Terracotta, mustard yellow, teal, crimson and soft cream sit side by side in broad blocks, like the panels of a quilt or the stalls of a sunlit market. Black dashes, dots and short vertical marks run through the blocks, adding rhythm and a hint of pattern, as if the painting had its own beat.
The colors are warm and friendly, and the blocks are slightly uneven, which gives the piece a hand-made charm. Some areas are smooth and others are scraped, so the surface changes as the eye moves across it.
There is no hidden message here; it is color used for joy. The painting feels cheerful, lively and optimistic, and it would brighten any wall.
