Orbit
Three textured circles overlap at the centre of a divided canvas: black, lime green and pale ice blue. Their thick, grainy surfaces contrast with the flatter, weathered ground behind them. The background is split between warm brown and ochre on one side and soft, worn cream on the other, with a thin horizontal line running across the whole piece.
Delicate hand-drawn crosses and vertical marks are scattered over the surface like notations, coordinates or constellations. The painting feels like a map of celestial bodies, or a still moment in a slow orbit. It’s restrained and thoughtful, with a modern, minimalist sensibility.
