The Road Ahead
A narrow path cuts through rolling fields of ochre and amber, leading the eye toward a line of dark hills on the horizon. Small clusters of silhouetted trees are scattered across the landscape, and tall grasses in the foreground add a sense of closeness and detail.
The sky is the main event. Sweeping arcs of white, grey, gold and blush pink are layered in thick, textured strokes that suggest wind and moving clouds. The warm earth below and the energetic sky above balance each other well. The painting evokes a journey, the promise of what lies beyond the horizon and a quiet confidence in moving forward.
