DerSegen – Artist Payout Policy

DerSegen is committed to providing fair artist compensation while ensuring original artwork for sale remains accessible and affordable for customers. This policy explains how payouts and pricing decisions are determined for artworks listed on DerSegen.

DerSegen does not follow a single fixed commission or revenue-share model. Instead, we use a graded payout structure, where:

• Lower-priced artworks may follow a revenue-share model
• Mid- and high-value artworks typically follow a commission-based model
• Commission percentage reduces as artwork value increases
• Final listing price ensures fair artist payout + market affordability

Artists can propose their expected artwork price (“Artist Price”).

DerSegen may request supporting details such as:

• Artwork size
• Medium & technique
• Time invested / creation complexity
• Framing & material cost
• Artist background

All submitted prices are subject to review.

DerSegen reserves the right to:

• Suggest a revised Artist Price
• Approve or adjust the final listing price
• Decline artworks that are overpriced or misaligned with market benchmarks

Benchmarks considered include:

• Size-to-price ratios
• Medium complexity
• Artist experience
• Comparable artworks across the market
• Customer affordability expectations

DerSegen may reject or ask for revision of an artwork if:

• Artist Price is significantly above market norms
• Final customer price becomes unaffordable
• Pricing impacts DerSegen’s affordability USP
• Quality or originality standards are not met
• Artist declines reasonable revision requests

This ensures platform consistency, value fairness, and customer trust.

When an artwork is sold:

• DerSegen deducts its platform share (commission or revenue share)
• I agree to DerSegen Privacy Policy
• The remaining amount is paid to the Artist

All costs for marketing, packaging, logistics, customer support, and platform operation are borne by DerSegen from its own share.

For every listed artwork, DerSegen will provide:

• Approved Artist Price
• Final Customer Listing Price
• Artist Payout Amount
• DerSegen Platform Share

DerSegen may offer additional incentives, such as:

• Artist referral bonuses
• Special promotional commissions
• Seasonal / campaign-based benefits

DerSegen may revise this policy at any time depending on market conditions and internal business strategy. Artists will be informed of major updates.
